Shivnarine Chanderpaul

Shivnarine Chanderpaul ( born August 16, 1974 in Unity Village, Demerara- Mahaica, Guyana ) is a cricketer.

Career

He plays in encounters in Test cricket and One Day International cricket matches ( ODI) for the team of the West Indies. In 2008 he was elected to both the ICC Player of the Year, as well as one of the five Wisden Cricketers of the Year. So far, Shivnarine Chanderpaul took for the team of West Indies participated in 140 Tests and scored 10055 runs. He is next to his former teammate Brian Lara is one of only ten players, which reached more than 10000 runs in Tests. His Test debut was against England in March 1994 in Georgetown, Guyana. He also played for the West Indies so far 268 One- Day Internationals in which he scored 8778 runs. His first One-Day International match he played against India in Faridabad on 17 October 1994. With the West Indies team Chanderpaul took previously at five Cricket World Cups ( 1996, 1999, 2003, 2007 and 2011 ) in part.
