Shkedei marak

Schkedei Marak (Hebrew שקדי מרק, German Soups almonds, Mandelach Yiddish ), is a popular soup ingredient in Israel. They have a small square pillow form, are made from pressed wheat flour and oil, and also known colloquially croutons. They are, as usual in Israel, kosher and parve (neutral ) and are also eaten as a dry snack. Initially, they were offered entirely by Osem food company, today there are also products of other manufacturers.
