Shontelle
Shontelle Layne ( born October 4, 1983 in Saint James ) is a pop and R & B singer from Barbados.
Biography
The label SRC, which also has the, also from Barbadian singer Rihanna under contract, took notice of Shontelle, as these wrote the song Roll It Gal, with the soca singer Alison Hinds in 2005 landed a hit in the island nation. The song was in 2007 ( under the title Roll It ) a success in Europe for the Jamaican quartet J- status along with Rihanna and Shontelle, which was not officially named.
Shontelle signed a record deal with SRC and announced in 2008 their debut album. The album, Shontelligence, reached both the official album charts and the U.S. R & B charts. As the first single release of the song was released as a single T-shirt. Following the release of t-shirt in the UK in early 2009, the song where he developed into a club hit, reaching there even the top 10 in the UK charts. In the U.S., the single debuted could directly into the top 40 of the U.S. single charts. Week after week, the track was working in the dance charts, eventually reaching number one in March 2009.
The follow-up single Stuck with Each Other was published on 10 February 2009. As a songwriter Diane Warren worked with. Guest musicians supported the US-American singer and rapper Akon. In the U.S., the song reached no chart success. In the UK, however, it peaked at number 23 as the third and final single release was followed by Battle Cry.
Published in 2010 Shontelle their second album, entitled No Gravity. From album they decoupled from the songs Impossible, Perfect Nightmare and Say Hello to Goodbye. Impossible is her biggest success to date; they reached with the song the top 10 in the UK, as well as the top 15 in the U.S.. Shontelle 2012 presented the title of One to One from her upcoming third album on the Internet. As the best friend of the R & B recording artist Rihanna, produces and writes several songs for her, among others, Man Down.
In January 2013 DJ Antoine released his album Sky Is the Limit on which it participated as a singer of the song Perfect Day. The track could reach the Swiss charts due to strong downloads. By a cover of Impossible by British singer James Arthur her Impossible for a second time popular and also missed only just started in the German single charts. In April, her single I'm in Love appeared together with the Danish house DJ Kato.
