Short gastric arteries

The short gastric arteries breves ( from Lat gaster " stomach " and brevis "short", " short gastric arteries " ) are several short arterial blood vessels that arise from the end portion of the splenic artery. In humans, five to seven such Aa. gastricae breves trained. Drag from left to right in the large network to the greater curvature of the stomach, where they anastomose with the artery gastroepiploic artery and vein. The short gastric arteries breves primarily supply the wall of the stomach ground ( fundus ).
