Sibi Malayil

Sibi Malayil ( Malayalam: സിബി മലയിൽ; * in Kerala ) is an Indian film director of Malayalam film.

Career

He began in the early 1980s as an assistant in Appachans Navodaya studio, where he supported, among others, the directors Fazil and Priyadarshan. In 1986, Sibi Malayil his directorial debut with the film Chekkaran Oru Chilla. Until the 90 years he made a name for himself with sentimental Dramas. Many of his screenplays wrote the later director AK Lohithadas. To Malayils known films include Dasharatham (1989 ), Kireedam (1989 ), His Highness Abdullah (1990 ), Bharatham (1991) and Kamalatham (1992). In Manichithratharazu (1993 ) he was one of the four participating directors. Two years later from this film was the Tamil remake of The Ghostbusters.

Malayil was honored for his films so far with three National Film Awards and several Kerala State Film Awards.
