The Sibiu International Airport is the commercial airport in the Romanian city Sibiu and the only civilian airport in southern Transylvania.

History

After the local elections in 2004, which freed the candidate of the Democratic German Forum in Romania, Martin Bottesch into office, was first thinking about a large-scale expansion of the airport.
