Șibot

Sibot (deprecated Jibot; Unterbrodsdorf German, Hungarian Alkenyér or Zsibót ) is a town in Alba county in Transylvania, Romania.

Geographical location

The municipality is located in the lower Sibot forest on the left side of the Mureş in the southwest of Alba County. At the European Route 68 and the railroad Arad - Alba Iulia of the place lies about 14 kilometers northeast of Orăştie ( Broos, Hunedoara County ); the county capital Alba Iulia is located about 25 kilometers northeast of Sibot away.
