Sidney Abrahams

Sidney Abrahams (Sir Sidney Solomon " Solly " Abraham, born February 11, 1885 in Birmingham, † May 14 1957 in London) was a British long jumper and sprinter.

At the 1906 Summer Olympics in Athens, he was fifth in the long jump and reached the 100-meter run, the semi-finals. In 1912 he was at the Olympic Games in Stockholm twelfth in the long jump. A year later he won the British Championship title in the same discipline.

His younger brother Harold Abrahams 1924 Olympic champion over 100 m.

From 1936 to 1939, Sidney Abraham, Chief Justice of Ceylon. After that, he was President of the London Athletic Club.
