The seven founders trench is a 1903/1904 arising digging in the Lower Harz, which is drained today. The trench is a section of silver Hütter Art trench.

History

The Chef ditch was completed in 1724. In the wake of the decline of mining in the Straßberger space of the trench was extended first by a Anhaltischer or Langer Graben -called section in the Neudorf area. After even the local mining ended in 1903, the section was shut down after Neudorf and the Chef ditch last time prolonged.

The new section of Seven founder ditch received the Seven reason catchment area of ​​the devil pond, connection to the Lower Harz Pond and grave system. When the Silver Hut in Silberhütte 1937 went bankrupt, electricity was still produced until 1939 and then drained the ditch.
