Siegfried Verbeke

Siegfried Verbeke ( born June 21, 1941) is a Belgian right-wing extremist and Holocaust deniers.

Life

Verbeke was repeatedly convicted of Holocaust denial in books, brochures and websites. Against him is, inter alia, in the Federal Republic of Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium established by the criminal authorities. Verbeke is financially supported by the nationally oriented movement " Voor Post".

Verbeke is, along with his brother Herbert Verbeke, founder of the self-styled Foundation " Vrij Historical Research " (short VHO ), and he also was a member of the " Vlaamse Militant Order" (short VMO ), which was banned in 1981. The brothers of this Order published pseudo-scientific, revisionist writings.

Verbeke published in 1991 the book " Het Dagboek van Anne Frank: een critical benadering " ( " The Diary of Anne Frank: A Critical Approach " ), in which he doubted the authenticity of the diary. He claims, inter alia, Otto Frank had the diary written after the war, as for example the writing style was too mature for a young woman and the ballpoint pen was invented after 1945. From 1992 to 1993, the " Anne Frank Foundation " against Verbeke went to court, the allegation of forgery was not tenable in court. The Amsterdam Court forbade Verbeke in the last instance on 27 April 2000 to spread his book in the Netherlands.

By 1995, Verbeke was a member of the far-right Flemish party " Vlaams Blok ".

Verbeke was up to issue 2/98 chief editor of the " Quarterly Revisionist research " ( Revisionist ), but then there was this post in favor of Germar Rudolf decreased, probably to protect against further action by the Belgian police.
