Sierra Nevada Brewing Company

The Sierra Nevada Brewing Company was founded in 1980 by Ken Grossman as a brewery in Chico ( California). Today, Sierra Nevada is the seventh largest U.S. brewery.

History

Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. was founded in 1979 by Ken Grossman and Paul Camusi. The name comes from the Sierra Nevada mountain range in North America. The first brewing equipment was used in Germany and was replaced in 1989 by a new one. The first beer brewed the Pale Ale was produced in November 1980. 1983, the weekly output was at 30 to 35 hl. As early as 1987 provided the brewery in seven states and annually produced 14,000 hectoliters. Since 1998, Ken Grossman sole owner of the brewery. The brewery currently employs more than 450 employees. In January 2012 it was announced that a second brewery in Mills River, North Carolina to be built.

Standard beers
