The Sieu ( German Schogen; Hungarian Sajó ) is a left tributary of the Somesul Mare ( Big Somes ) in the north of Romania.

The Sieu rises in Călimani Mountains ( Munţii Călimani ) east of Sieut. It flows through the county Bistrita-Nasaud in a wide valley in a northwesterly direction. In Sărăţel he takes on his most important and at the same time water-rich tributary, the Bistrita ( Bistrita ), from the right. Further downstream meets the Lechinţa from left to Sieu. East of the Beclean Sieu finally opens on the left side in the Somesul Mare. The Sieu has a length of 71 km. It drains an area of 1780 km ².
