Sigleif Johansen

Arnt Sigleif Johansen ( born October 25, 1948 in Tana ) is a former Norwegian biathlete. In the second half of the 1970s and early 1980s he was a member of the National Biathlon squad Norway.

Sigleif Johansen started as Active for Skjervøy IK. He played his first international championship at the 1975 World Championships in Antholz, where he was Svendsberget fifth in the relay race of 22 sprints, 36 of the Single Page, as well as with Kjell Hovda, Bjørn Sirijord and gate. In 1976 he was the non-Olympic sprint race in Anterselva 17, for the Olympic Winter Games in Innsbruck, he could not qualify in the strong Norwegian team. His biggest international success was achieved by Johansen at the World Championships 1977 in Vingrom. Behind Heikki Ikola and before Alexander Tikhonov he won the silver medal in singles. With gate Svendsberget, Roar Nilsen and Svein Engen he missed in fourth place in the relay another medal just barely, in the sprint he finished in 13th place. 1978 the Norwegian won in Hochfilzen again a world championship silver medal, this time with Odd Lirhus, Roar Nilsen and gate Svendsberget in the relay race. In individual he came in 23rd place and was fifth in the sprint. Also in the 1979 World Cup won Johansen with bronze behind Klaus Siebert and Alexander Tikhonov in the individual a medal and finished 12th of the sprint and Odd Lirhus, Kjell Sobak and Roar Nilsen as the final runner of the season fourth. The highlight of the career was participating in the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid. In the sprint, he was 13, with Svein Engen, Kjell Sobak and Odd Lirhus he missed, re-used as a cage rotor, in fourth place again only one rank a medal. In the year after the Games Johansen joined in Lahti last time at the World Championships and was the 14th of the Single Page. With the relay, which now included alongside Lirhus and Sobak Eirik Kvalfoss, he missed the third year in a row in fourth place barely a medal.

National Johansen won in 1975 with the season of the region Numedal his first national title. He achieved the greatest success in 1976 when he won all three titles in singles, Sprint and Relay in Melhus. 1978 and 1981 he won the title again in the sprint race. He also won another five medals in the period between 1974 and 1981.
