SIGMOBILE

The SIGMOBILE ( Special Interest Group on Mobility of Systems, Users, Data and Computing ) is a thematic group of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM ), which deals with the fields of mobile computing, wireless communication method, and Wearable Computing.

In 1995 SIGMOBILE as an organization which would advance the research in the field of mobility and ubiquitous networks. It was officially established as a provisional ACM Special Interest Group on 13 June 1996. She received in 2000 the status of a permanent Special Interest Group.

SIGMOBILE promotes a series of conferences. In particular, the MobiCom and the International Symposium on Mobile Ad Hoc Networking and Computing. It publishes a quarterly scientific journal Mobile Computing and Communications Review.
