Sigri Mitra Gaïni

Sigri Mitra gaini (Persian سیگری میترا قائنی [ si ː ri ː mi ː g ʲ trɔ ː ɢɔ ː ː eni ]); ( B. 1975 in Oslo ) is a Faroese movie actress and poetess.

Sigri Mitra gaini is the daughter of a Färingerin and an Iranian father. Born in Norway, she grew up both there and in the Faroe Islands. 1995/1996 she completed training as an actress at the film school in Ebeltoft (Denmark). He then studied at the Academy of Live and Recording Arts in London. From 1997 she studied philosophy at the University of Copenhagen.

Sigri Mitra gaini has so far released three volumes of poetry in Faroese.

In the first Faroese road movie Bye Bye Bluebird of the filmmaker Katrin Ottarsdóttir she played in 1998 as Barba one of the lead roles. She played further the Shawarma in Polle fra Snave 2002.
