Silberhornstraße (Munich U-Bahn)

Metro Station Silberhornstraße is a Munich U -Bahn station, which was opened on 18 October 1980. It is served by the U2 and since December 12, 2011 of the gain line U7, which only runs in the morning rush hour.

The station has no pillars and is one of the earliest pillarless metro stations. The rear track walls were covered with large orange wall panels, the floor is covered with Isarkiesel art stones and the cantilevered ceiling with two (formerly three) light bands is veneered with aluminum fins. At the western end of the platform a flight of stairs and a lift lead to a lock floor with access to the Tegernsee road / street Deisenhofener. There is connection to the tram 15/25 to Grünwald. In addition, you can reach via the lock floor the Herzogstandstraße.
