Silesian Park
The Silesian Culture and Recreation Park ( Slaski Park Kultury i Wypoczynku, also Wojewódzki Park Kultury i Wypoczynku, . Across the cultural and recreational park Voivodeship ) is a recreational area between the cities of Chorzow ( Chorzów ) and Katowice ( Katowice ) in Silesia, Poland. It was founded in the 1960s on the initiative of the local politician Jerzy Ziętek. The total area of the park covers 620 acres; it is thus the largest city park in Europe.
