Silvan Dam
The Silvan Dam is a planned or already under construction dam in the district of Silvan, Diyarbakır Province in southeastern Turkey. It is a part of the Anatolian dam project CAP. The jammed river is the Batman, a tributary of the Tigris.
At the dam, a hydroelectric power plant is to be operated, which has a capacity of 150 MW and can generate an annual energy of 623 GWh.
The rockfill dam will be 188 m high and the reservoir hold 6.84 billion cubic meters of water.
