Silver Stone Trophy

The Silverstone Trophy is an ice hockey trophy in the International Ice Hockey Federation IIHF, which has been awarded since the introduction of the Champions Hockey League for the season 2008/09 with some design changes to the winners. The trophy was designed in its basic form as early as 1997 for the winner of the then European Hockey League and meanwhile served - also changed slightly - as a trophy for the winner of IIHF European Champions Cup.

Design

The Italians from Enzo designed Bosi 1997 trophy has a height of 86 centimeters. Since in the third version of 2008, a base was added in the form of a puck with the logo of the Champions Hockey League, the overall height is 96.5 inches. The weight of the silver trophy is a British Stone - hence the name Silverstone - quantified. This corresponds to about six and a half kilograms.
