SimBin Studios

The SimBin Studios AB is a Swedish development studio for computer games, which was founded in 2003.

SimBin began his work under the direction of Ian Bell in 2002 as a modding team for F1 Challenge 99-02, which developed a FIA - GT- 2002 Add-On. The company SimBin was founded in 2003 and has since been developing realistic racing simulations. Large notoriety reached especially the GTR series with the previously released games GTR, whose successor GTR ² and the offshoot GT Legends with historic race cars, as well as RACE - The WTCC Game and its successor Race07. During the development of GT Legends, a large part of the development team split off and formed again under the direction of Ian Bell a new studio, Blimey! Games in London. Despite internal tensions presented Blimey! Games at the urging of the publisher 10tacle studios and led by SimBin the product successfully completed and also worked instrumental in GTR2 on. Then the paths of the two teams separated.

As a further development of Race07 appeared in Germany on August 21, 2008 GTR Evolution, which in addition there both as an add -on to Race07 as well as a game with the content from Race07. This includes mainly GT racing cars as well as the Nürburgring Nordschleife. September 19, 2008 also came with STCC - The Game is another add-on for Race07 on the market. In 2011, several more add-on packs were then published for Race07, namely Formula RaceRoom, STCC - The Game 2, GT Power Pack, The Retro Expansion and The WTCC 2010 expansion.

In November 2011 KW Automotive and Simbin announce a partnership, was set to chassis data from racing by KW available in the Simbin. In March 2012, joined Henrik Roos, one of the three Simbin - founder, from his post as CEO and handed Simbin in the hands of the KW automotive owner Klaus Wohlfarth.
