Simon, Constable of Jerusalem

Simon (also Simon of Jerusalem; † after 1115 ) was the first known constable of the Kingdom of Jerusalem.

He is, as Symon filius ducis mentioned in two royal charters, 1108 and 1115. He is equated with Simontos, mentioned by Anna Comnena as envoy King Baldwin I of Jerusalem to Tripoli, where he received in 1108 Byzantine ambassador. There he is called the king's cousin. Consequently, he was probably a son of Duke Henry of Lower Lorraine and maternal grandson of Count Eustace I of Boulogne.
