Simon Gächter

Simon Gächter ( born March 8, 1965 in Nenzing, Vorarlberg) is an Austrian economist.

Simon Gächter studied economics at the University of Economics and Philosophy at the University of Vienna. He received his PhD in 1994 in economics and worked as an assistant at the Universities of Vienna, Linz and Zurich. From 2000 to 2005 he was Professor of Economics at the University of St. Gallen. He's since February 2005 Full Professor of psychology of economic decisions at the Centre for Economic Decision Research and Experimental Economics at the University of Nottingham.

Gächter research especially at the intersection of economics and psychology.
