Simon Kernick

Simon Kernick (born 1966 in Slough, England ) is an English crime writer.

Mid -1980s, he graduated from high school and then worked in road construction, as a bartender, as harvest workers and warehouse workers. He spent several years traveling through Canada, Australia and the United States of America. After his return to England he made in 1991 with a degree in Humanities at the University of Brighton.

To escape the ensuing unemployment, he took a job as a computer software salesman.

By the way, he wrote two novels, but always met with rejection.

Only in 2002 printed a publishing the novel The Business Of Dying (Eng. day of wrath ) and prepared Kernick thus the beginning of his bestselling authors career. Since 2002, an annual novel appears from his pen.

Attaches particular importance Kernick on pointing out that he researched in real police officers of a special unit, but these do not have the negative qualities of his Roman heroes.

The German translations published the Heyne publishing house, which also clearly has interest to take over the original design of the cover.

Simon Kernick lives and works in the English county of Oxfordshire.
