Simon Stadler

Simon Stadler ( born July 20, 1983 in Heidelberg ) is a German tennis player. He currently lives in Munich.

Career

Stadler plays tennis since 1990. In 2006 he reached the main draw of the tournament at Wimbledon, where he lost to David Ferrer. 2007 Stadler hit in the first round of the Gerry Weber Open in Halle his compatriot Mischa Zverev 6-4, 7-6, reaching the knockout stages. There he was defeated by Russians Mikhail Youzhny 4:6, 6:1 and 3:6. In the same year Stadler also reached the semifinals of the Challenger tournament in Lanzarote and one each the quarter-finals at the Challenger tournament in Kyoto and Cardiff. 2008 Stadler qualified as a qualifier again for the main draw at Wimbledon and turned there in the first round, surprising the number set at 18 Croats Ivo Karlović 4:6, 7:6 ( 7:4 ), 6:3, 7:5 from. Simon Stadler in early 2011 was the first time qualifying for the Australian Open. His highest ever ranking in the world ranking reached Stadler on February 23, 2009 Rank 140 in the Baden -Württemberg- League Stadler plays for the TC 02 Weinheim.

His biggest career success celebrated Simon Stadler in July 2013 in Båstad, when he won the doubles competition of the World Tour tournament against Carlos Berlocq and Albert Ramos together with Nicholas Monroe. With Monroe, with whom he had previously won four Challenger tournaments, he was failed in February of the same year in Buenos Aires in the final of the Italian Fabio Fognini and Simone Bolelli. In the double world ranking, he was listed after the tournament victory on rank 62, its highest ranking so far. In October 2013 he could still improve to Rank 59.
