Simon Tatham

Simon Tatham ( May 3, 1977) is an English programmer. He is known especially for the development and maintenance of PuTTY, a free telnet and SSH client for Win32 and Unix platforms. He is also the author of an xterm terminal emulator. Tatham has created the first implementation of Netwide Assembler ( NASM ). His essay, How to Report Bugs Effectively is often used for training users, before they begin to report software bugs.

He also maintains a popular collection of small puzzle games available on the platforms Unix ( GTK ), Windows, Mac OS X, Android, Nintendo DS and Symbian s60.

He studied at the University of Cambridge and is currently working at ARM Limited.
