Simone Ortega

Simone Klein Ansaldy, also known as Simone Ortega ( * May 29, 1919 in Barcelona, † July 2, 2008 in Madrid) was the author of several cookbooks on the Spanish cuisine. Their most famous work is 1080 recetas de cocina ( cooking Rezpete 1080 ), one of the books in Spain with 3.5 million copies sold most.

It comes from the Alsace region of France, which explains that her real surname was small. She published her books but under the family name of her husband, the publisher José Ortega Spottorno, who founded the Alianza Editorial Editorial in 1966 and the Grupo PRISA.

In 1987, Simone Ortega was awarded the Premio Especial de Gastronomía. She managed to reconcile their literary activity with the teacher at a secondary school in Madrid. In the last stage of her life she worked for the radio and wrote in journals such as ¡ Hola!. Your last books she created with her daughter Inés Ortega Klein, who continues her mother's career by also writes books about the art of cooking.
