Simone Pasqua

Simone Pasqua ( born November 17 1492 Taggia at Genoa; † September 4, 1565 in Rome ) was a Cardinal of the Catholic Church.

First Genoese clerics and ambassador of the Holy See in the Republic of Genoa, Pasqua studied medicine and theology. He was ordained in 1561 Bishop of Luni - Sarzana on February 14. On March 12, 1565 Pasqua was appointed by Pope Pius IV to Cardinal Bishop of Santa Sabina. He was also physician to the Pope.
