Siniec, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship

Siniec ( [ ɕiɲet͡s ], German Blaustein ) is a village in Poland in the Warmia - Mazury. It belongs to the powiat Kętrzyński in the community Srokowo ( Drengfurth ). The town is the seat of a Schulz Office ( sołectwo ) to which the villages Dolny Siniec, Kąty Nowa Różanka, Stara Różanka, Rypławki, Sińczyk and Siniec Cegielnia belong.

Geography

Siniec is located in north-eastern Poland, approximately 20 kilometers south of the border with the Russian Kaliningrad Oblast. Not far from the village there is the Siniecer lake.

The Siniec today was created end of the 14th century with an associated area of ​​50 feet. The first mentioned name of the place was Plawenstein. The name goes back to the procurator catch Petersburg ( Kętrzyn ) Heinrich von Plauen. Later the name changed to blue stone and was a bluish granite stone which returned close to the village in the forest is located. From this interpretation of the name is also the Polish name derives. Here siny means blue / bluish. 1945, at the end of the Second World War, the Red Army marched into the area. As a result of the war was Blaustein part of the People's Republic of Poland. First, the place in Kamienna ( Rocky ) was renamed in 1946 and received its present name Siniec. In 1970, there was an eight-year elementary school, a library and a cinema spot with 50 seats. From 1973, the village was part of the community Srokow.

The village is situated on the road from Stara Różanka in the west and in the north Srokow. Both towns are located approximately eight kilometers from Siniec. In Srokowo are the road joins the province road 650 ( droga wojewódzka 650) in Stara Różanka in the Province Road 591
