Sintra National Palace

The Palácio Nacional de Sintra ( German National Palace of Sintra ), was a royal palace.

The mentioned as Moorish Alcázar in the 10th century during the Muslim period palace is located in the Portuguese town of Sintra. Its present form is due mainly to the 15th and early 16th century, Manuel I.. Meanwhile, development of the Palácio Nacional de Sintra was made in the style of Manueline.

The palace is now in the possession of the Portuguese State and is used for tourist and cultural purposes. As part of the Cultural Landscape of Sintra the Palácio Nacional de Sintra is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Portugal.
