The Sirex LMS was the manufacturer SAMAS a sports coupe.

Prehistory

SAMAS took over in 1973 by L.M.X. Automobile model LMX 2300 HCS, it revised in relation to the turbo engine and the interior and offered it under the brand name of Sirex.

Chassis and engine

The vehicle had a central support chassis, independent suspension, and many parts from Ford. A V6 engine of Ford with approximately 2300 cc capacity was responsible for the drive. The engine power was given with 108 hp. On request the engine was also offered with a turbocharger of May and 210 hp.

The engine was front mounted in the vehicle and drove through a propeller shaft to the rear axle. The gearbox had four speeds.

Body

The designed by Franco Scaglione body of the combi coupe consisted of fiberglass, only the steel doors. Striking was the broad B-pillar and the particularly large, frameless rear window into the tailgate. The vehicle had room for two people.

With a wheelbase of 230 cm, the vehicle length was 396 cm, width 176 cm, the vehicle and the vehicle height 113 cm. The track width was 152 cm front and rear 153 cm.
