Sirogojno

Sirogojno ( Serbian Cyrillic Сирогојно ) is a village in Serbia with 763 inhabitants ( as of 2002). It is 911 m.ü.A. in the Okrug Zlatibor belonging Čajetina municipality in the Zlatibor mountains.

Biggest attraction in Sirogojno is the Open Air Museum Staro selo Muzey ( Museum Old Village ), which is on approximately 15 acres of life in the 19th century in the Zlatibor region. Shown are the traditional wooden houses, a bakery, a dairy and an old restaurant.

The Serbian Orthodox Church of St. Peter and Paul was re- erected from 1764 with works by the icon painter Simeon Lazović. Next to the church is the Orthodox cemetery of the village.
