Sissy Schwarz

Elizabeth "Sissy" Black, married. Bollenberger ( born May 19, 1936 in Vienna ) is a former Austrian figure skater, which was launched in a single run and pair skating.

In a single run black was Austrian Vice Champion in 1952. In the 1952 Olympics she placed 19th Place. At the European Championships in 1953 she finished ninth.

In pair skating Black came along with Kurt Oppelt. They were from 1952 to 1956 Austrian champion. In 1952 she had her international debut as a couple. Both at the European Championships as well as the World Cup they finished in seventh place, the Olympic Games in Oslo, they finished in ninth place. Already in the following year, she won bronze at the European Championships behind the British Jennifer and John Nicks and Hungary Marianna and László Nagy their first medal. At the World Cup, they were sixth. 1954, Black and Oppelt in Bolzano European Vice-Champion behind the Swiss Silvia and Michel Grandjean and won in Oslo with bronze behind the Canadians Frances Dafoe and Norris Bowden and the Grand jeans their first World Cup medal. In 1955 she did not participate in the European Championship. At the World Cup, they were subject to extremely tight Canadians Dafoe and Bowden and thus were runners-up. The year 1956 marked the culmination of the career of the Austrian couple. They were in Paris European champion, in Garmisch -Partenkirchen World champion and Olympic champion in Cortina d'Ampezzo.

Today Sissy Black lives with her family in Wiener Neustadt.
