Sister, Sister (TV series)

Sister, Sister is an American sitcom that ran from 1994 to 1995 on ABC and then until 1999 on The WB. Overall, the series includes 119 episodes in six seasons. The main characters are Tamera Mowry Tia and which play a separated at birth twin pair meet up again in their teens. In Germany, the series ran from 1996 on ProSieben and DF1, and from 2003 to Junior.

The series was created by Kim Bass and is a production of De Passe Entertainment and Paramount Network Television. For her performance in Sister, Sister Tia Mowry and Tamera were from 1995 to 1997 in the annual Nick Kids' Choice Awards each elected to the most popular television actresses and received in 1999 and 2000 Image Award for Best Comedy Series - leading actresses. The Supporting Actor Marques Houston won the 1995 a Young Artist Award in the category Best Youth Comedian in a TV show.

Sister, Sister shares a series universe with Smart Guy. In this sitcom plays Tahj Mowry, Tia and Tamera 's brother Mowry, the highly intelligent TJ Henderson. In this role, he also appears in episode 81 ( Child's play ) of Sister, Sister.

Action

Tia Landry and Tamera Campbell are twins that were released as babies for adoption. The hardworking and intelligent student Tia lives with her adoptive mother Lisa, a seamstress, in Detroit. Tamera, who is more interested in boys and parties, lives with her widowed stepfather Ray, a luxury limousine rental, in a rich outer quarters. When the two girls age 14 meet by chance in a department store, they decide that they will continue to stay together forever and the two families move in together. This pleases the annoying neighbor boy Roger, who falls in love with the two sisters, but where he encounters only rejection. Towards the end of the series, the mechanic Tyreke and the College Student Jordan are introduced as firm friends of Tia and Tamera.

The first episode of Sister, Sister was broadcast on 1 April 1994 on ABC. There, she ran to the end of the second season on April 28, 1995. Thereafter, the series moved to The WB, where the broadcast on 6 September 1995 began and ended with the last episode on May 23, 1999.

In Germany, sitcom was first aired on ProSieben from 23 March 1996 to October on DF1. ProSieben stopped broadcasting in October 1997 and DF1 for more new episodes in March 1998. Between August 2003 and November 2004 then showed Junior for the first time all 119 episodes in the German version.
