SITD

SITD (short for: "Shadows In The Dark", often stylized as [: SITD: ] ) is a German Futurepop and Aggrotech music group consisting of Carsten Jacek (voice), Thomas Lesczenski (music and voice ) and Frank D ' Angelo (music and background vocals ).

History

SITD was founded around 1996 under the name Shadows in the Dark by Carsten Jacek (vocals) and Thorsten Lau ( music) in the Ruhr. In the years 1996-1999 some compilations appear and, in very limited circulation, the albums Trauerland (1996) and Atomic (1999). Thorsten Lau leaves the group in the course. Thomas Lesczenski encounters added in 1999.

2001 SITD reinforced with André concern ( today Contaminant ) as a keyboardist. The year designed for SITD as a milestone. The piece Snuff Machinery was surprising to the club hit and appeared a little later on the successful Septic II sampler. A gig with VNV Nation are a larger audience for the first time access to SITD. Snuff Machinery remains a perennial favorite for weeks. André care leaves little later the group.

Accession Records relocated 2002 Snuff EP and SITD gain international attention for the first time. In the DAC charts, it reached # 1 ( in the annual ranking 10th ). The album Stronghold 2003 also appears on Accession Records. The keyboardist Francesco D' Angelo reinforced SITD at performances. SITD playing at various festivals and concerts.

The Maxi - CD topping appears in 2005 on Accession Records, followed shortly by the second album, Coded Message 12 topping achieved second place in the German Alternative Charts (DAC ), which through an eight-week stay at the end of a 12th place in the single- Yearendcharts results .. SITD prepares the Coded Message 12 tour.

2006 celebrated its 10-year anniversary of the band. [: SITD: ] At the same time a German-language forum for fan was put online.

On July 27, 2007, Maxi - CD cross appeared: gang in the recorded music sound fusion Vol.1. Shortly afterwards, the album was beast: man published.

On 30 October 2009 their newest album was released by the name of Red

On November 18, 2011 for the 15-year anniversary band appeared the CD box ICON: KORU - 15th Anniversary Collector's Box.

Style

The typical sound of SITD is characterized by hard electro beats with style typical trance elements and aggressive vocals. The lyrics usually involve violent and apocalyptic themes.
