The monastery Sittichenbach ( Sichemium; Shechem ) was a Cistercian abbey in the area now called Sittichenbach Eisleben in the district of Mansfeld- South Harz in Saxony- Anhalt.

History

The monastery was founded by the Abbey Walk Ried and thus belonged to the filiation of primary Abbey Mori Moon. From there, was in 1141 the abbot Volkuin sent at the request of ESIKO II of Bornstedt with eleven other monks to create a new daughter monastery in the later county of Mansfeld.
