Sixten Sild

Sixten sild ( born June 19 1964 in Tartu ) is a former Estonian orientation runner who competed for the Soviet Union earlier.

From 1989 to 1999 sild participated in five world championships. In 1991 he was in the Czechoslovak Marianske Lazne World Cup third parties on the long distance behind the Swede Jörgen Mårtensson and Kent Olsson. In 1993, sild first for Estonia in World Orienteering Championships. But on his third place he was not able. With the season he was in 1993 and 1995 17 On the long distance he reached in Germany in 1995 to tenth place. In his last World Cup participation in 1999 he was with the squadron ninth.

In Estonian Championships sild won a total of 49 medals ( 34 gold, 5 silver and 10 bronze ) in the period from 1985 to 1999.

His sons Timo sild (* 1988) and lauric sild (* 1990) are also internationally -starting orienteers.
