Sixty-Four Counties Youth Movement

The 64 counties (Hungarian Hatvannégy Vármegye Ifjúsági Mozgalom ( HVIM ) ) is a banned far-right Hungarian youth organization.

History

The HVIM was founded in 2001 by László Toroczkai, who presided at Gyula György Zagyva gave 2006. The HVIM has performed in the past actions among the Hungarian minorities in neighboring countries, such as the sending school supplies to Hungarian children in Vojvodina (Serbia ) and the project " House of Hope " in the areas where the Hungarian minorities.

The organization mobilized their supporters in the " Counties ", which were separated after the First World War by the Treaty of Trianon, the victorious powers of the Kingdom of Hungary and were integrated to Romania as well as in the newly formed states of Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia. Against the Treaty of Trianon since the 1920s, repeated national and nationalist movements had been mobilized, which also formed the basis for the Hungarian alliance with Nazi Germany.

Due to the anti- government riots in September 2006 in Hungary and the attack on the building of state television and the subsequent reports in the newspapers, the organization became known worldwide. Toroczai was arrested after agitations in 2008 in Serbia, deported and banned him for two years of entry.
