Siyasatnama

The Siyāsatnāma / Siyasat -NAME (Persian سیاستنامه, book of statecraft ) is the most famous work by Nizam al -Mulk ( 1018-1092 ), the Seljuk Chancellor ( vizier ) and famous statesman of the eleventh century, in the Nizamiyyah schools medieval Islamic Orient founded.

It is written in the Persian language and consists of 50 chapters on religion, politics and various other topics of the time. The book is a guide for Prince, a kind of Islamic Machiavelli, with his Discourses and Il Principe was compared.

The earliest surviving copy is in the National Library of Tabriz in Iran. It is a valuable and important work of Persian literature. It was made in Europe first in 1891 by the Orientalist Charles Schefer accessible, which a French translation was followed two years later. 1960 appeared the German translation of Karl Emil damage Binger.
