Sizun
Sizun is a municipality with 2232 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the Finistère department in Brittany in France. It belongs to the Communauté de communes Local Government Association du Pays de Landivisiau. Sizun is the capital (Chef -lieu ) of the canton of the same, are among the four communities.
Structures
In classified as a monument historique enclosed parish Saint- Suliau there are some great buildings:
- The Triumphal Arch (1585-1588), was established by the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the French Revolution in 1989 in the garden of the Tuileries in Paris a reproduction of the original size.
- The Ossuary Chapel (1585 ), whose facade is decorated with statues of the 12 apostles. It now houses a museum of local history.
- The church of Saint - Suliau ( 16th, 17th and 18th century ) with its 56 -meter-high steeple.
