SK Dynamo České Budějovice

SK Dynamo České Budějovice is a Czech football club based in the South Bohemian city of Ceske Budejovice.

Club history

Football was played in České Budějovice from 1898. A club was founded in 1905, he remained a long time without national success, until the early 1930s, he played at the Czechoslovak Amateur Championship. Then he missed five games in consecutive years just move up to the first league. 1934 the club's management decided to introduce professionalism. The promotion to the 1st League was not until 1947, when second last in 1948 had the SK České Budějovice but immediately go back. The return to the top division succeeded in 1985. During this season, the team also reached the Czech Cup final, but was defeated there Dukla Prague. This time the club managed to keep two years in the first league. Club name

The club was founded in 1905 as AFK České Budějovice. Later he was called to 1948 SK České Budějovice. Then there were several name changes within a short time: 1949 in Sokol JČE České Budějovice, 1951 in ZSJ Slavia České Budějovice, 1953 in DSO Dynamo České Budějovice. Between 1958 and 1991 the club was called TJ Dynamo České Budějovice, 1991-1992 SK Dynamo České Budějovice JČE.

From 1992 to 1999, the official designation SK České Budějovice JČE, then from 1999 to 2004 SK České Budějovice. 2004, they returned to request the trailer to designate SK Dynamo České Budějovice.
