Skärhamns IK

Skärhamns Idrottsklubb is a Swedish football club. The club, whose first team currently competes in the fourth division Division 2 is located in Skärhamn on the island Tjörn.

History

Once on Tjörn up in the 1920's, rather disorganized football was played, was built in the east of the island, the club IFK Valla. This also attracted players from Skärhamn who had to drive to this end with the bike for training and games. To be able to save these troubles, it was decided in 1932 to found in Skärhamn a private club so that Idrottsklubb was lifted from the baptism on 13 October of the year of Skärhamns. After several years in the regional leagues Skärhamns IK came in 1989 to return to the Division 3 Nordvästra Götaland.
