Skärholmen metro station

Skärholmen is an underground station of the Stockholm Metro. It is located in the homonymous district Skärholmen. The station is owned by the Röda linjen the Stockholm subway system operated. It is among the most frequented stations of the metro network. On a normal working day here rise to 13,000 commuters and around.

The station was taken on March 1, 1967 as the 64th station of the Tunnelbana in operation, as the portion of the Röda linjen was inaugurated between Sätra and Skärholmen. Of December 2, 1967, she was also the terminus of line T13, from then on, the trains on the newly built section to the next station Vårberg. The platforms are located about five meters underground. The station is located between the stations Sätra and Vårberg. Stockholm Central Station is approximately 10 km.
