Skierffe

The mountain Skierffe (also written Skierfe ), located in Sarek National Park in the historic province of Lappland, Sweden, northwest of Jokkmokk. It is located about five miles west of the famous hiking path Royal Trail, near the STF tourist station Aktse. Most of the mountain is visited on the river landscape of the Rapaälv because of his views:

The picture shows the view from the summit of Skierffe to 700 m below river landscape of the Rapaälv. Ice Age glaciers have formed the glaciated valley. The river comes from the Sarek National Park and opens below (left) of the image area into the lake Laitaure. The flow of arms to take in the different seasons in all different colors and often change their course. Along the river arms one recognizes the typical gallery forest of birches, between Moor and former Toteisbereiche that are now filled with lakes. At the bottom you can see rocks that come from rock falls from Skierffe. The lowest areas of the image are almost vertically below the rock face of the mountain. There is also a historical Sami sacrificial site.
