Skin (musician)

Deborah Anne Dyer ( born August 3, 1967 in Brixton, London, England), stage name Skin, is a British singer and front woman of Skunk Anansie. In the meantime, she is active as a solo artist and DJ.

Her stage name comes from her nickname forth from his youth days and originates from the English word skinny, what thin / lean means.

Musical career

Skins family is from Jamaica. As a trained jazz singer, she estimates, for example, Dionne Warwick and Stevie Wonder, occasionally plays vibraphone and theremin. In 1994, the band Skunk Anansie was founded with skin as lead singer.
