Skinheads Against Racial Prejudice

SHARP is an acronym that stands for Skinheads Against Racial Prejudice ( skinheads against racial prejudice ) and refers to an anti-racist skinhead movement.

In the U.S., formed in 1986, a number of anti-racist skinhead organizations that make first time in 1988 SHARP went public. The group evolved in the ensuing period, a loose international group of skinheads with sections in the UK, Portugal, France, USA and Germany.

SHARP is a coalition of skinhead groups with different views, the commonality of Sharp Skins consists in the fact that they with extreme right-wing and neo-Nazi skinheads (called by them Boneheads ) do not want to be confused and speak out against racism. The members of SHARP try to clearly define the boundaries of racist skinhead groups in this way.

The first German SHARP magazine was Skintonic, published since 1989 by the SHARP Section Germany in Berlin. They later merged with the " Oi! Reka " to Skin Up fanzine and introduced in the late 1990s the appearance of one.
