Skjern HÃ¥ndbold

Skjern Håndbold (actually Skjern Håndbold A / S ) is a Danish handball club from Skjern, West Jutland.

History

The club was founded on 1 April 1992 from the Handball departments of the local clubs Skjern Gymnastikforening, Skjern KFUM and KFUK 's Idrætsforening. The men's department rose for the first time in the 1997/98 season in Danish elite series and was the same in the following season champions, one in Denmark unprecedented performance. In addition, they won again this season the Danish Cup. 2001/ 02 and 2002/ 03 brought the team with the EHF Challenge Cup their first European Cup in Denmark.

The ladies section of the club played until 2007 in the second Danish League; for the 2007 /08 season, the club gave the game license but starting to Ringkøbing Håndbold.

The club currently has about 400 active members and about 40 teams. He is represented in all areas of youth.
