Å koda 03 T

Škoda 03T is a tripartite niederfluriger tram railcars of Czech engineering company Škoda. In the Czech Republic it is also known under the name Škoda Škoda Astra and Anitra ( in Brno).

Construction

These are three-piece four-axle equipment vehicles which partially low-floor area. On the right-hand side are four doors: the middle part has a double door, front and end each have a single door.

The low-floor center section is suspended between the two end pieces. The floor is there 350 mm above rail level. Overall, the low-floor area covers around 50 % of the inside area. The other parts have the normal height of 780 mm above rail level.

On the roof of the vehicle, the electrical device is mounted, the brake can feed energy back into the grid. The power consumption is controlled via the power semiconductor ( IGBT).

Prototypes

In 1997, two prototypes were produced. Originally they were to be used for trial operation in Pilsen. However, since the transport companies Ostrava ordered two sets, one of the two cars was moved towards the end of 1997, after a brief use in Pilsen and Ostrava. As of mid-April 1998, he was with number 1201 on the public use and then in early September - delivered to the Municipal Transport Company Pilsen - after delivery of the first car mass production. In Pilsen, he was since the beginning of October 1998 with number 300 in operation. As a result of a collision in January 2006 he was retired and dismantled in May 2008.

The second Vorserienwagen is in Pilsen in operation since 1998. With it, the test runs were carried out, which are necessary to obtain the approval. He has the establishment number 301

Locations

In the years 1997-2005 a total of 48 vehicles of this type were produced. They came only in the Czech Republic used.
