Renamed " Alexander the Great Airport "

In December 2006, the Macedonian government announced the intention of the airport Alexander the Great ( Macedonian: Александар Велики / Aleksandar Veliki ) rename. Thus, it sparked a renewed diplomatic dispute with Greece, Alexander the Great considered as part of its own national heritage ( see Macedonia naming dispute ).
