Skotawsko

Skotawsko ( German Schottofske, 1938-1945 Schottow, Kasch. Skòtawskò ) is a small settlement in the Kashubian Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship. It belongs to the municipality Czarna Dąbrówka ( Black Damerkow ) in Bytowski powiat ( county Buetow ).

Geographical location

Skotawsko is located in the eastern part of the Landscape Park Stolpetal (Polish: Landscape Park Dolina Slupi ), nestled between the Jezioro Skotawsko Wielkie [ also: Jezioro Skotawsko Duże ] ( Big Schottofske Lake ) and the Jezioro Skotawsko Małe ( Small Schottofske Lake), at the river Skotawa ( Schottow, also Schottof ), which opens after about 30 kilometers in the Stolpe ( Słupia ).

The small village is from the province road 212 ( here section of the former National Highway 158) to reach: either through a land of Nożyno ( United Nossin ) from, or on a road about Kartkowo ( Kartkow ). A rail connection does not exist.

History

In 1910, the Gutsbezirk Schottofske counted 107 inhabitants.

In 1945 the Polish Skotawsko from the German Schottofske or Schottow. It is a part of Gmina Czarna Dąbrówka and is now in the powiat Bytowski in the Pomeranian Voivodeship ( Stolp 1975-1998 Voivodeship ). Here are three registered inhabitants.
