Skra Bełchatów

PGE Skra Belchatow SSA is a Polish volleyball club from Belchatow playing in Polish Volleyball League and the Champions League.

Team

The squad for the 2009/2010 season consists of 13 players. For Skra play five vice-champion Mariusz Wlazły, Daniel Plinski, Michał Winiarski Michał Bąkiewicz, Piotr Gacek ( Volleyball World Cup 2006 in Japan ) and 6 European champion Miguel Angel Falasca ( Volleyball European Championship for Men in Russia in 2007 ), Bartosz Kurek Marcin Możdżonek, Daniel Plinski, Michał Bąkiewicz, Piotr Gacek ( Volleyball European Championship Men 2009 in Turkey). In addition, with Stéphane Antiga is a Vice-European Champion ( Volleyball European Championship Men 2009 in Turkey) in the squad. Coach Jacek Nawrocki (since 1 August 2009). The assistant coach is, Maciej Bartodziejski (since 1 August 2009).

The positions: acceptance (A ), outside attack (AA), Diagonal ( D), Libero (L ), middle block (M), Universal (U) and setter (Z).

National League and Cup

After it had been enough for Skra almost 50 years to no titles, the club won the championship six times since 2005 and four times the trophy.

European Cup

Skra Belchatow playing in the 2009/2010 season in the Champions League. The Poles arrived in Knack Randstad Roeselare Group D and CAI Teruel and Radnički Kragujevac. The club will be the Champions League after the 2007/2008 season for the second time host of the final round ( Final Four ).

Volleyball Club World Cup

The Volleyball Club World Championship in 2009 and 2010, the club finished in 2nd place.
